1. China Rich Girlfriend by Kevin Kwan51bkIrULzuL._SX322_BO1,204,203,200_

These Asians are really rich, and all they think about is money, they forget about manners.

I am super envious with the life theyā€™re living, but that is only in the beginning because in the end the writer shows the good and the bad side of being wealthy. And I donā€™t want to be the negative kind of rich.

One of the things that are very striking to me in this book is this quote ā€œIf you want to know what God thinks of money, just look at the people He gave it to.ā€ ā€“ Dorothy Parker. You have to look on the left and the right, because God gives money to those people who use it for their own advantage and to those people who use it in helping people.

The book revolves around the married life of Rachel Chu and Nick Young. But the day before their wedding, Eleanor Young; Nickā€™s mom, arrived at the venue. Everyone was surprised because for two years, Nick is deranged to her mom after everything that happened in Singapore. Ā (Read the book one.)

Eleanor has a reason why she apparently rushed to L.A, it is to expose what she found out. Rachel Chu is a daughter of a billionaire Chinese politician (how come? Read the book na lang, itā€™s too long to explain here. hehe)

Rachel and Nick travel to Shanghai for their honeymoon and also to meet the family of Rachelā€™s father. They met Rachelā€™s brother; Carlton, who is a carbon copy of Rachel, and his friend Colette. They were introduced to different wealthy people and found themselves agreeing to charter a jet to Paris, where Carlton almost got into a car accident AGAIN, but thanks to Rachel being the sister that Carlton never had, but now he has.

The part where Rachel almost dies because of poisoning breaks my heart as Iā€™m afraid that she might really die. You know, some books nowadays kill their lead character for a more dramatic ending but fortunately, Rachel didnā€™t die.

The book also told stories of some people related to Nick and Rachel, and my favorite among them is the life of Astrid and her struggles with her husband Michael.

Favorite Line: ā€œBehind every fortune lies a great crime. ā€”HONORƉ DE BALZACā€

2.Ā Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by JK RowlingHarry_Potter_and_the_Cursed_Child_Script_Book_Cover

Yes, since we created a Harry Potter inspired summer camp; Iā€™ve decided to read the sequel. Iā€™m a fan of Harry Potter movie, I still wished that Hogwarts were real and so the magical world. Iā€™m quiet hoping to discover their world because I know for sure that Iā€™m a muggle and Iā€™m thinking that their world was just hidden from our world. šŸ˜€ Iā€™m not crazy, you know.

Letā€™s go back to the book now; this is the story of Harry Potterā€™s child. In this book, the trio is now an adult who now has their own family. Hermione ends up with Ron, while Harry marries Ginny Weasley. Happy ending right? Hehe

Well, yes, the whole magical world was at peace for quite some time now. The trioā€™s daughter and sons are already in Hogwarts to study magic and to advance their ability. But Albus Severus; youngest son of Harry, (yes, he named his son after the great Albus Dumbledore and Severus Snape) had a hard time in his first year because of the popularity of his dad. Stubborn child, which Iā€™m sure he got that from his dad. Albus became friend with Scorpius Malfoy (son of Draco Malfoy) who is an unwanted friend. Many students donā€™t want to be friends with him because his dad was a death eater before and they thought that heā€™s the son of Voldemort.
