It’s Valentine’s weekend, and for sure people will start to flood different places just to celebrate this special day. Many restaurants will be full, theme parks and beaches will be full too, and of course hotel rooms will be fully booked. 🙂
For me, there is nothing really special about Valentine’s, because I am not in a relationship with anyone ever since. But over the years I learned how to celebrate it with just the people around me who love me for who I am. God. Family. Friends.
February 13, 2016, the day before Hearts day, Me and my best friend Karla had this date/adventure in Regina Rosarii Institute for Contemplation in Asia located in Tanay Rizal. It was a site for pilgrims and for those people who’d like to pray in silence. It is also a haven for people who are tired of the hustle and bustle of the city.
So, I wanna share with you our pictures, the itinerary and the costing. Enjoy!
Itinerary and Costing
Meet up time is at 9 am, 7 eleven junction.Ride a jeep going to Tanay, drop point is at Tanay Market. You will know that you are in Tanay Market because that is their last stop, landmark is PureGold and Savemore.
We arrived past 12 because along the way, we passed through 1 accident in Antipolo and a fire in Teresa, that’s why it took us 3 hours.
Then ride a tricycle, tell the driver that you will go to Regina Rica. It was already 1:30 when we stepped our feet in the vicinity of Regina Rica and started our walk.
We leave the place at about 3:30, we took the tricycle again to Tanay Market, this time we are 4 in the tricycle (P50/head) because we are mixed with other visitors.
Since we hadn’t eaten our lunch yet, we grabbed a late lunch at Chowking then travel back to Cainta. We are home before 6pm.
Jeepney ride to Tanay – P45.00 (1 hour and 30 minutes travel)
Tricycle to Regina Rica – for special trip, it was P200.00 one way, but we only pay P170.00 (natawaran namin si kuya 😀 ) 45 minutes to 1 hour ride
*for regular rate, if you are 4 in the group it was P50/head
Jeepney – P45.00 x 2way = P90.00

Obviously, my Valentine weekend – Saturday was spent with friends and family, because I believe that Valentine’s is not only for couples in love, but also for everyone who want to show/express their love for the people around them.
Watch out for my next blog, VDay Weekend – Sunday with Chiro Friends. 😛
“Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It’s not something you learn in school. But if you haven’t learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven’t learned anything.”
